Request to our Federal Government

Reform of the Telecommunications Act of 1996

Whereas on the world altering day of July 4th, 1776, our thirteen colonies came together with a unanimous Declaration of Independence, in which our forefathers stated, "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."

Whereas the issue discussed within this document directly relates to our right to life, our right to liberty, and our right to pursue happiness.

Whereas one of the most important documents ever produced in the world, our Constitution, signed on September 17th, 1787, states, "We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."

  Whereas the issue discussed within this document directly relates to our domestic tranquility, our general welfare, and our blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity.

Whereas the first amendment to our Constitution ratified December 15th, 1791, states, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

Whereas the issue discussed within this document directly relates to the abridging of our freedom of speech, and our right to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.  

Whereas the Government of the United States passed the Telecommunications Act of 1996, signed into law by then President Bill Clinton, states in
    Section 704. (a) 332 (c) of the 47 US Congress under item 7, "PRESERVATION OF LOCAL ZONING AUTHORITY-
        (B) LIMITATIONS-
            iv) No State or local government or instrumentality thereof may regulate the placement, construction, and modification of personal wireless service facilities on the basis of the environmental effects of radio frequency emissions to the extent that such facilities comply with the Commission's regulations concerning such emissions."  

Whereas the Telecommunications Act of 1996 revokes our freedom of speech, as guaranteed by our Constitution, relating to residents and citizens desiring to fully discuss their concerns regarding RF radiation emissions from cell sites with their local, county, and state officials.  

Whereas multiple studies of RF radiation has shown potentially harmful effects on living organisms, including the human body.  

We the people, in order to protect our freedom of speech and our rights to live healthy lives, Do hereby require and demand our Federal Government to:
    1.    Restore our freedom to discuss health issues and / or concerns related to cell sites at local, county, and state levels.
    2.    Conduct independent research studies on the effects of RF radiation emissions on living organisms, specifically humans, without interference or input from any telecommunications companies or interested parties.
    3.    To put on hold the construction and / or activation of every new cell site until such studies are completed and results made available to the general public
