Save The Golf Course
Snowball West Developer presented
an updated plan to Sunland-Tujunga Neighborhood Council and the Community. Follow-up on the latest developments and the communities’ reaction. Developer presents three options: 1: No project-
this does not mean the golf course would continue or even be open for business. 2: 339 Residential Townhouse project and leave part of the golf course. 3:
Mixed-use residential retail center.
Taking Care of Our Youth Welcome the Firehouse-our new Youth house Thank you to St. Luke's for their wonderful donation to the community. After months of hard work by local friends,
parents, kids and community organizations the Firehouse is ready for its new grand opening.
The Firehouse will be a safe hangout for our local youth. For now the Firehouse will be available to high school kids on Tuesday
6pm-9pm. The goal is to have the firehouse open 5 days a week 3-6 for middle school and 6-9 for high school kids. The firehouse
has a rec. room with a pool table, fooseball and pinball machine. The main gathering room has plenty of chairs, couches and
tables. In addition there is a private counseling room and homework room. The Firehouse will have
adult supervision at all times and will be looking to the community for volunteers to keep our kids safe.
CVWD Water Rate Hikes Are the rate hikes justified...
Thank you for your conservation and because you conserved the Water District
revenues went down. The Water District also suffered almost $300,000 in labor and damage costs from last years Station Fire. In addition the Foothill Municipal Water District
plans to reduce water allocation to The CVWD.

La Crescenta Community Trail
Option A,B,C,D were provided to the
community. Lots of opposition and and equal amount of support. At a cost of over $500,000 is a trail following the flood control
channel behind homes starting at El Caminito and La Crescenta Avenue traveling behind homes up to, through or up to Pineglen
Avenue what our community wants and needs.
How do we connect the Rim of the Valley Trails to La Crescenta?
LA County Parks and Recreation provide our initial
options, it's up to the community to choose.

Glendale Unified School Board approves a vote to put Measure S Bond on April 5th Ballot
Originall Measure K was approved in 1997 in the amount of $186 million with 74%
voter approval. The new ballot measure will require 55% voter approval,
An extension of this bond Measure S as it will be presented would provide more money to the districts schools. Bond money
in 1997 was used to repair, renovate and expand the district's 21 aging campuses. An extension of the bond would go
toward updating science labs, catching up with technology and expanding vocational skills in our schools. Voice you oppinion
to the Yes on S organization
New Debris Flow Evacuation Policy
The Foothills Prepare for the
rainy season. Those living near the Station Fire Burn area are encouraged to bookmark www.dpwcare.org on their computers. This site is a clearing house for information that includes progress updates for
flood control basin clean-outs, guidance for protecting homes and contact information for various agencies.
The
LA County Sherrif has introduced a new emergency notification system www.nixel.com be sure to sign up. There is a new color coded debris flow
threat alert system, ranging from green meaning no safety restrictions to red mandatory evacuations under effect.
Debris basin expantion Mullally is nearly 50% complete. Trucks continue to move debris out.
710 Tunnel Controversy Continues
Traffic has increased and
multiple Big Rig accidents have impacted our local 210 Freeway as of late. Is this the sign of things our community can expect
more of if the 710 tunnel comes to fruition?
Our community does have a voice. Where does the community
stand? How will the tunnel effect our Foothill communities?

of the tunnel.
